Pitch-in Week returns May 4 – 12. Register your family, class, business, or club!

Let us know the general area that you plan on collecting litter, and receive no-charge garbage bags and bag pick-up. We’ll even supply the coffee and snacks.

Register your group online, or call us at 403 887 2800.

Free tree branch disposal returns May 6 – 11. Drop off tree branches, free-of-charge, at the Waste Transfer Site.

The Waste Transfer Site is operating under summer hours:

• Monday – Saturday;
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM;
• Open until 8:00 PM on Wednesdays;
• Closed on statutory holidays.

Curb-side Organics Collection | Returns April 9 for the Town of Sylvan Lake

Our curb-side Yard and Kitchen Waste Program returns Tuesday, April 9, 2019!

Yard/kitchen waste (organic), collection occurs weekly, on the same day as your regular waste is collected.

• Place both yard and kitchen waste in the same container;
• Set organics container (or bag) out for collection by 8:00 AM, on your regular waste collection day
• Ensure the organics container is 1.7 meters away from your garbage/recycling cart;
• Keep your yard waste dry;
• Place a free “yard waste sticker” on your hard-surfaced organics containers (available at municipal facilities);
• Drop off extra material at the Waste Transfer Site, free of charge, year-round;
• Pull your organic containers back onto your property by 9:00 PM.

Speaking of the Waste Transfer Site…

Summer hours begin on April 1st.

• Monday through Saturday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Open late, until 8:00 PM on Wednesdays
• No after-hour access to site

The Waste Transfer Site is located 1 KM east of the round-about on Highway 11A, and 0.5 KM south on RR12.
